22, Journalism with Marketing graduate with a healthy obsession to buying clothes, looking at clothes, feeling clothes and everything to do with clothes. I say healthy because there is no such thing as having unhealthy and clothes in the same sentence. I am a firm believer that clothes are good for your health.

As much as I love clothes and have always wanted to blog, this first post has always been the one to put me off. It's not just on account of being too lazy to write the first post, it's never knowing how to first present myself, but with Ying comes the Yang and in order to blog I need to get this first post done and dusted and get on with the fashion talk.

From my very first job when I was 16 I used to get my wages every Friday. Every Friday without fail I would leave school early and go shopping. Every single Friday. I can't tell if this was a brilliant or a bold habit to get into because 6 years on I am still in the habit of spending my wages on clothes the day I get it. Only this time I can't skip school on a Friday afternoon to go, I have to wait a full month and pray that some things stay in stock in my size. Only this time I have other things that I need to use my wages on. Like car insurance, petrol, gym membership of a gym I never actually go to etc etc. Like I said, with Ying comes the Yang and with the good comes the bad, having no money regularly is the price to pay for new clothes.

I wanted to do more than just Instagram pictures of my outfits, I wanted to use my journalism degree and actually write about the clothes and different things within fashion. Which is why my blog is finally here! Now when I get the dreaded question of "Oh so I take it you blog?" after I tell people about my journalism degree and hopes to be a fashion journalist I can finally say yes I do. Instead of muttering something about how I want to and always mean to get round to it…

So my first post is finally done and out of the way and I can finally get onto the blogging.

The aim is to keep my blog primarily fashion based, looking at personal style, outfits posts and the fashion industry. I may touch upon other lifestyle matters from time to time but the main focus is on fashion.

I hope you enjoy reading!

  14. Welcome to the world of blogging! I'm betting you'll never go back - I've been blogging off and on (and in varying capacities) since about 2007, and I love it. It has been a release, a writing exercise, and now it's part of how I am building a living for my kids and I.
