FROW at Nor Lisa SS17

Monday, February 20, 2017

It was sequins, metallics and sparkles and it was the Nor Lisa SS17 Showcase.

Lucky enough to be invited to the intimate showcasing of the SS17 collection at The Chelsea I was excited to see what new designs I was going to lust over this season.

First things first, what's a fashion show without some intense people watching? The night didn't disappoint both on the catwalk and off, always appreciative of a well put together outfit, I took this opportunity to get a good look at what was being worn on the night. I certainly wasn't disappointed with what was on show, with sequins and flared sleeves topping the list.

The first round of styles to please the eyes came from Narah & Co Online Boutique. Jumpsuits and caped styles dominated this round but it was the cerulean chiffon caped wide leg jumpsuit that did the eye catching for me. Proving that the classic dress was on the decrease and the jumpsuit was on the increase this style gives a welcomed alternative for occasion wear that I'm all too happy to take on board.

Satisfied with the styles from the first round I was looking forward to the variation of the next round, this time coming from local designer Lisa McCabe of Nor Lisa. It's safe to say with the burst of sparkle and sequins that came with this round my eyes were far from disappointed with what was on show.

From head pieces, to custom made jewellery to wearable fashion the variety of creations ensured something for everyone for every occasion among the collection.

My three favourite looks from the night were made up of sequins on sequins. With the recent NYFW & LFW Nor Lisa is proving to be on top of the game nailing this season with her take on the trend. Where some may shy away from a full sequined outfit I wanted to run towards it with open arms and welcome it into my wardrobe, making a space for it whether I needed it or not.

I may still be lusting over the SS17 collection but if that was anything to go by, I'm already looking forward to more collections to come!
