Mid Week Masks

Yes. I absolutely do realise that I've recently been a blogger that doesn't blog. I could blame it on being busy with doing lots of behind the scene blog work or I just accept that I'm lazy. Lets face it, its the latter.

I haven't completely been neglecting my blog though, only slightly.... I have about 6 full blog posts written in my head complete with pictures, now it's just to stop searching 4oD for something that I haven't watched before and actually sit and write!

With March proving to be one of the most fashionable months in Belfast, with the Fabulous Fashion Teas at the Merchant and West Coast Cooler Fashion Week it can be hard to keep up. As well as having St Patricks day celebrations (complete with cheap face paint and glitter) and a formal, my skin has been left with barely a minute to breath. I fully admit that I like to wear a full face of makeup, complete with 17 spritz of setting spray and with so much happening at once its important not to forget about your skin.

Which is exactly why I'm spending the night with my favourite face masks. Battling through the rain earlier doing the 20 minute walk to my car (all in the name of free parking..) with an umbrella literally stuck in my hair (yes, this happened) all that was going through my head was the thought of getting home and treating my face tonight.

Since being sucked into the L'Oréal face mask offer that first time in boots I literally spend my days now looking forward to the next face mask night. Using the masks regularly definitely helps in seeing a difference, wishing I could do one every day I settle for every 3 days if I can. I was happy to recently find the face wash to use every day to help me from missing the masks too much.

After a recent shopping trip to Superdrug I noticed these Garnier moisture bomb tissue masks on offer for 99p and felt I couldn't not buy one. I think it was the shock that for once when the Superdrug girl was scanning my eyelashes, cotton pads and the rest of my assortment of unnecessary purchases, it was something other than half price perfume that she was droning on about and waving her bored hand at around the till that made me add one into my bag. That and the fact that it was only 99p??!?

Since then I have returned several times to fill my arms with more because you can't just settle for buying one at that price? After using my L'Oréal face wash followed by mask I'm finishing my night with this Garnier mask that I've been trying to do weekly.

Feeling satisfied that the last of the St Patricks day glitter is finally gone from my face and my skin is finally restored I can now spend the rest of the night outfit planning for Fashion Week.

Keep your eyes on my blog and social media for all the updates from Belfast Fashion Week and more!

  2. Great post. I love the Garnier masks, apart from the smell. I've been needing to try out the L'oreal masks. Think I'll be buying some once I finished my body shop honey mask.

  5. Love treating my skin to a face mask once in a while, tho probably should do it more often now that my skin is 40 (argh!) I love the Body Shop mineral and ginger warming clay mask as it only needs 5-10 mins so you can slap it on in the morning while you make a cup of tea. See my multi tasking there? ;D
